2020 Spring Season Cancelled
UpdatedThursday May 14, 2020 by RH / RBK LL .Dear Red Hook and Rhinebeck Little League families,
Our Spring Season is cancelled
We have reached the point of decision on our spring season. Current conditions in New York and Dutchess County are too limiting to be able to continue play for the 2020 Spring Season. Red Hook and Rhinebeck Little Leagues are officially cancelling play at all levels: 2020 Spring Baseball including T-Ball, Coach Pitch, Player Pitch, Major, and Junior/Senior; 2020 Spring Softball: Minors and Majors.
Future Plans
At this time, we intend to support a 2020 Fall Season assuming it is deemed safe to do so. The district leadership are supportive of any option that aligns with the guidance of local and state authorities. Red Hook and Rhinebeck Little League will continue to monitor developments in NY and our communities, and plan accordingly.
Updates will be posted to our website at http://rh-rbkll.com/site/
Reconciliation of Accounts
2020 Spring Registration fees will be reconciled as follows:
For example: Joey, father of Jimmy (little league age 12), registered Jimmy for Majors baseball on January 2, 2020 and paid the early discount registration rate of $100 via credit card. $100 will be assigned to the father’s (Joey) SiPlay Account. Next winter, Joey registers his daughter, Sarah (little league age 8), on February 2, 2021 for Minor’s Softball. When completing the registration, Joey can use account credits to pay the 2021 registration (up to the account credit balance of $100).
If you have any questions or to request a refund, please contact Jeff Cassens (rhinebeckll.treasurer@gmail.com) and Jim Mulvey (rhll2020refund@gmail.com).
Closing thoughts
We thank you for your patience as we looked for an opportunity to play a spring season. We continue to look for ways to offer baseball and softball programs for our youth, and we look forward to the day when we see our players out on the field, playing ball. Until then, stay safe and continue to prepare with backyard drills.
Sincerely,
Jim Mulvey, RH LL President
Tom Connolly, RBK LL President
